MLT summer camp enrollment Saturday

— Muskogee Little Theatre will have enrollment for 2013 Summer Youth Theatre Camp from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday or until the camp is full. Campers must be ages 6-14.

Enrollment will take place at the MLT front office (mailed forms will not be accepted).

Enrollment forms (and scholarship forms) can be downloaded at (click on Education).

Tuition is $240, with partial and full scholarships available. A deposit of $120 will be required at enrollment for non-scholarship applicants. Scholarship applications should be attached to the enrollment forms.

The camp is scheduled for 1-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays from June 3 through 28 at MLT, at Cincinnati and D streets.

Campers will experience the high energy of one of the most popular musicals of the 1970s this summer. With its free-wheeling, hippie interpretation of the New Testament, “Godspell Junior” draws from various theatrical components, such as clowning, pantomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville.

Featuring a string of contemporary, recognizable songs, including the international hit “Day by Day,” “Godspell Junior” is a unique reflection on the life of Jesus, with a message of kindness, tolerance and love.

Camp students will learn the complete process of a theatrical production including the audition process, stage direction, vocals, choreography, set and costume construction, stage makeup, stage management and crew, sound and lights, special effects, and cross-curricular activities.

Only enrolled campers will be in the cast and crew. The show dates are June 27-30.

MLT provides a safe, educational experience; a structured daily schedule; qualified, experienced instructors; all materials and supplies; daily snacks; and camp T-shirts.
