NSU presents ‘Into the Woods’

Northeastern State University’s Opera Workshop will present the Stephen Sondheim musical “Into the Woods”  at 3 p.m. Saturday at the NSU Center for Performing Arts.

The NSU music department has come together to present this Tony Award-winning musical. In addition to the 21 singers of the NSU Opera Workshop, directed by Dr. Shannon Melody Unger and faculty pianist Farren Mayfield, the NSU Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Norman Wika will perform.

Tickets are available at the door for $10 general admission and $5 student admission, with a valid NSU student ID.

The 1987 Tony Award-winning musical casts a new light on such tales as “Rapunzel,” “Cinderella,” “Jack and the Beanstalk” and “Little Red Riding Hood.”
