— Club news runs on Sundays. Deadline for club news is noon Wednesday.

Chapter B of PEO will meet Tuesday at the home of Sarah Coburn-Rothemels. Sarah will give a musical program. Each member is to bring a salad to share. We will meet at 10 a.m. at the turnpike McDonald’s and caravan together.

New Friends

The Muskogee New Friends announce their coming activities schedule:

• April 26 — 11:15 a.m. meet at Cowboy’s for lunch and games. Call Dorothy Pack for bridge, (918) 682-2030; call Pat Lattie for dominoes, (918) 682-1704. Reservations are a must. Cancel by April 25 or you must pay for lunch.

• May 1 — Red Cross Blood Drive. Call Pat Adams to volunteer. We wish to give a great big thank you to all of the ladies who have so consistently and willingly volunteered their time to help with this worthy project, not only for this year but for all of the years that New Friends has been helping out.

• May 3 — 10 a.m. board meeting. Meet at Odd Fellows. All incoming and outgoing officers are asked to attend to give and receive instructions for accomplishing the duties for each position.

• May 10 — 11:30 a.m. general meeting. Meet at Odd Fellows for installation luncheon. Bring your best casserole, salad or dessert to contribute to our feast.

New Friends would like to take this opportunity to invite anyone who is new to our community, or who would like to come visit with us, to come to this luncheon and meet our new officers for the coming year, and perhaps get involved in some of our activities and make some “new friends.”

Library Friends

The Muskogee Friends of the Library will meet at 11:30 Wednesday at the Muskogee Public Library. The host for the meeting is the library staff, which will also furnish the meal.

“Pirate Stories and Songs” will be the program, with narration and singing by Donald Nichols. Celebrating with games and treasures will keep the audience busy and entertained by the library staff, which wishes to thank the Book Sandwiched In members for their support during the year.
