Wilcox stars in NSU ballet

A former Miss Fort Gibson, Erin Wilcox, a senior at Fort Gibson High School will be starring as Cinderella in the three-act ballet to be performed at Northeastern State University’s Performing Arts Center on April 11 and 12.

The show is a production of Encore Performing Society, a non-profit organization to promote participation in dance and the arts. “The laugh-out-loud performance will tickle the funny bone of even the grouchiest Grinch!” said the show's director, Lena Huffman, in a media release.

The magic of Cinderella brings the audience into all of the splendor that generations of Americans remember. Young dancers twirl into your heart as mice and other beloved characters. A sparkling carriage rolls across the stage to take Cinderella to the ball.

Wilcox brings grace and beauty to the role as do the many other actors and dancers.

The public can purchase tickets at any Reasors, through Protix, or at the door.
