Books At Noon

Wagoner Library Friends’ Books At Noon luncheon will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, 205 N. Main. Guest  author Gean Atkinson will speak and review his book “Bloodmoon at Cabin Creek,” a time-traveled story of the exploits of a Cherokee Confederate soldier in the Battle of Cabin Creek, which took place in 1864.

The luncheon will be sponsored by the Arts and Craft Literary Club. Cost is $3.

Three Rivers Photography Club

The Three Rivers Photography Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Muskogee Art Guild. Bring your camera, manual and a tripod. We will be doing some outside shooting (weather permitting) or doing another class on getting to know your camera.

Muskogee Art Guild

The Muskogee Art Guild will have its monthly meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Muskogee Art Guild. Jim Roaix and Monica Brown will conduct a demonstration on mosaic glass art. Visitors are welcome.

Muskogee Garden Club

The Muskogee Garden Club will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Blossom’s Garden Center, 3012 E. Hancock St. Hostesses are Cindy Kane, Connie Stout, Donna Garrison, and Marilyn Hinshaw.

Owner Matthew Weatherbee will be speaker of the program, “What’s New for the Home Gardener.”

Discussion will include final plans for the March 23 Daffodil Day Tea at the Thomas Foreman Home. The hours of the tea are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Nominations will also be taken for the club’s 2013-14 slate of officers. Vote for officers will take place at the April meeting.

Green Country Duplicate Bridge

Green Country Duplicate Bridge meets at 12:30 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Kiwanis Senior Citizens Center, 119 Spaulding Blvd. Newcomers are welcome. If interested in playing or learning to play duplicate bridge contact Ann Kent at (918) 682-3098, Mary Smith at (918) 682-2605, or Sandy Cole at (918) 684-9002. Duplicate bridge lessons are being held on each Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kiwanis Senior Citizens Center. Call Mary Smith at 918-682-2605 if interested.
