— New Century Club

The New Century Club will meet at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the Red Lion Room of the Muskogee Country Club. Hostesses are Rosie Russell and Nita Thompson. The review of “At Home: A Short History of Private Life by Bill Bryson” will be presented by Carol Elliott.


According to the Toastmasters Competent Leadership handbook, listening is a “leadership skill that enables you to acquire information, identify and clarify issues, make decisions and resolve conflict.” If your listening skills need a boost, consider visiting a Toastmasters Club meeting.

Toastmasters meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Three Rivers Museum, 220 Elgin, in Muskogee. All are welcome to Tuesday’s meeting.

Chapter CJ, P.E.O.

Chapter CJ, P.E.O. will meet at noon on Monday for dessert in the home of Betty Honea with Sue Gaston as co-hostess. The program will be the study of the PEO Constitution.

St. Joseph Seniors

St. Joseph Seniors 50 and up will meet at 12:10 p.m. on Thursday. All parishioners, 50 and up, and guests are welcome to attend.

A communion service will be held at 12:10 p.m. in the Marian Chapel. Afterward, the group will carpool to Pleasant Valley Health Center, 1120 Illinois St. Danny Nevitt will welcome and treat the group to lunch. An informative program regarding Muskogee’s Retirement Center will be presented.

Tahlequah Rock and Mineral Society

The club’s regular monthly meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Community Room at the Tahlequah Public Library. The program will be presented by a couple of the club’s members on their recent trip to Quarzite, Ariz. There will be a show and tell and refreshments. This will be followed by a short business meeting. The public is invited.
