“Buddy — The Buddy Holly Story” has sold out each of its five performances so far.
The legacy of the young man with glasses, whose musical career spanned an all-too-brief period during the golden days of rock ’n’ roll, rocks on in this popular tribute. The show follows Buddy’s meteoric rise to fame, from his humble country music roots to the top of the record charts and his untimely death in 1959. Audiences will be cheering for more, with such rousing fifties favorites as “Peggy Sue,” “Oh Boy,” “Maybe Baby,” “That’ll Be the Day,” “Raining In My Heart,” Ritchie Valens’ “La Bamba” and the Big Bopper’s “Chantilly Lace.”
Muskogee Little Theatre’s production of “Buddy — The Buddy Holly Story” is sponsored by Muskogee Area Chamber of Commerce and The Oklahoma Arts Council.
