Scholarship available for music students

— Muskogee Musical Arts Society is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a qualified college student from Muskogee County or a neighboring county. Thanks to the Muskogee Arts Council, the scholarship has been doubled for this year.

The requirements:

• A declared major or minor in any area of music.

• At least a sophomore status from any college or university.

• A letter of recommendation from a college music professor.

• Applicants will need to audition.

Those interested in the scholarship need to send the following to Ineta Bebb, 1517 Boston, Muskogee OK 74401 or ibebb@stpaulmuskogee.com:

• Name, home address, phone number, email address, year in school, field of study in music and GPA.

• Letter of recommendation.

Applicants will be told by mid-June about the audition time.
