Manual Training Banquet speaker

T. W. Shannon, Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, will be the speaker for the seventh Manual Training High School Banquet to be held May 26 at the Muskogee Civic Center.

Shannon was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives from his hometown of Lawton in 2006. He serves as a youth Sunday school teacher at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lawton. He and his wife of 11 years, Devon, have two children, Audrey Grace and T. W. II.

Shannon is the son of Wayne and Joyce “Pepper” Anderson Shannon. Pepper is a 1963 graduate of Manual Training High School and is celebrating her 50th year reunion as a Manual graduate this year.
