Avery Peterson, 7, of Coweta spent his Labor Day weekend in Sequoyah State Park, where the Spring Valley Volunteer Fire Department was running a boot drive. Avery bicycled and walked (with his mother, Ashleu Eischen) from the Cherokee Camping area to the front gate of the park, where he donated more than $100 that he had raised by selling lemonade and temporary tattoos during the summer.
