Thompson House site for Saturday concert

TAHLEQUAH — Pull up a chair, relax and listen to bluegrass, gospel and old country music from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday on the lawn of the Thompson House, 300 S. College Ave.

The concert is free. Members of the Thompson House will sell lemonade and water, and the house will be open for tours.

Darlene and Winston Cobb, who are spearheading the event, invite all music lovers and musicians to come, according to a media release. Musicians are urged to bring their instruments (acoustic only).

“We and other musicians are hosting this event to give back to the community for all the support it has given the Thompson House over the years,” Darlene Cobb said in the media release.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
