Take-Back Day will be today

The Regional Prevention Coordinators of Neighbors Building Neighborhoods and Muskogee Community Anti-Drug network, in partnership with the city of Muskogee and Muskogee Police Department, are encouraging area residents to remove all unused, unwanted and expired medicines from their homes and bring them to the Muskogee Fairgrounds, 1444 South Cherokee St., for proper and safe disposal from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

The Take-Back Day offers a free, easy solution for people to dispose of unused, unwanted and expired pills. With the exception of needles, syringes and liquids, which cannot be accepted, Muskogee-area residents can also simply drop their medicines into a permanent prescription drug drop box at the Muskogee Police Department’s permanent drop off site for proper disposal.
