— The boys of Cub Scout Pack 699 in Muskogee collected food to help the hungry in our community. The boys had previously passed out door hangers in the Tull Place and Gawf Lane area of Phoenix Village. On Dec. 1, they gathered the food that generous residents left ready for pick up. All food collected was taken to the Muskogee Cooperative Ministries Food Pantry. This food collection is part of Scouting For Food, an effort by Packs and Troops around the nation to fight hunger. Pack 699 is chartered to Muskogee First Church of the Nazarene at 2700 E. Peak Blvd. In keeping with the values of Scouting, Cub Scouts devote themselves to community service along with year-round activities of crafts, outings, games and projects.
