— Chapter B of PEO

Chapter B of PEO will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gwen’s house for a catered lunch. Cost is $10. Let Gwen know if you’re coming, and bring a dirty Santa gift.

Promoting Animal Welfare Society

PAWS members will have a Christmas party at 6 p.m. at Golden Corral. All members are invited and must purchase their own dinner.

Books Sandwiched In

The Friends of the Jim Lucas Checotah Public Library will welcome back guest book reviewer Jim Pulliam on Dec. 12. Pulliam will review “Light and Variable: A Year of Celebrations, Holidays, and Emily Dickson” by Oklahoma essayist Connie Conley. Lunch will be served by the library board at 11:30 a.m. and costs $3.

Three Rivers Photography Club

The Three Rivers Photography Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at 315 Court St.

This week’s study will be on lenses and top 20 travel tips. There will be a vote on 2013 special competitions. The club will review November competition critiquing.

Visitors are always welcome.

Daughters of the American Revolution

Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday in the DAR Room of the Lucy Peters Hall on Bacone Campus. The program will be presented by “The Singing Santas.” They tell the story of Kris Kringle through songs, stories and multi-media.

New Century Club

New Century Club will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the parlor of First Presbyterian Church. The book review will be done by Suzanne Jobe, who will present the book “Cronkite” written by Douglas Brinkley. Hostesses for refreshments are Lisa Harbison and Jerry Hird.

Chapter CJ, P.E.O.

Chapter CJ, P.E.O. will meet at 11:45 a.m. Monday for a Christmas luncheon in the home of Carole Elliott with Sabina Beckman as co-hostess. Members are asked to bring a gift to exchange and their gift for the women of Monarch as our Christmas project.


Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

The Muskogee Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.’s next chapter meeting will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 8 in the first floor Southeast Conference room at the Muskogee Public Library.
