Local man serves in Iraq

— Tommy “Brian” McKinzie, a 1990 graduate of Fort Gibson High School, was deployed in March to Balad Air Base, Iraq, where he will serve six months as a member of the 732nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, Detachment 6.
McKinzie has served in the Air Force since 1992 and holds the rank of Tech. Sgt. He is stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, where he lives his wife Katie and children, Michael, Jonathan, Stevie, Rylee and Kassie. His oldest son, Chris, lives in Fort Gibson and works for his grandparents, Tommy and Diane McKinzie at their business, Diebold's Tree Service.
