Produce club taking orders

— Shannon George, right, and her daughter check out their crate of produce at the first Harvest Crate pickup day in Fort Gibson on June 1. The Harvest Crate Club is new to the area. Volunteer Haley Norman said many have been participating in the fresh produce program at a site in Broken Arrow, and she wanted to bring it closer to home. The club provides crates of produce, always local when available, for low prices, she said. Today is the last day to order produce for Saturday’s pickup day between 9:30 and 10 a.m. at the Fort Gibson First Baptist Church parking lot. Fort Gibson’s produce club will receive a delivery every two weeks. For information or to order, visit harvestcrate.com/produce-club/
