Woman proudly grows yard-long cucumbers

Helen Satterfield, 73, of Fort Gibson is proud of her garden this year, said her daughter Georgia Wahl. This year she grew for the first time “Armenian Yard Long” cucumbers. The longest one is 36 1/4 inches long, 9 3/4 inches around, and weighs 5 and one quarter of a pound. The “fat” one is 23 inches long, weighs four pounds, and is 10 1/2 inches around. The curved one is 31 1/4 inches long, 7 and 7/8 inches around, and weighs 2 3/4 pounds.
