set for this month

GED testing will be available in Fort Gibson from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 28 and 29. There will be three tests a night with limited space available. Cost is $75 or $50 for a re-test. Testing will be held in the North Educational Building, 500 S. Ross St., across from the Administration Building. To pre-register or for information: Community Education Office, (918) 478-4034. Only five Spanish spots available.

Estate planning

Mark Young of Edward Jones Investments and a local attorney will be offering a free seminar from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 17 in the Fort Gibson North Educational Building, 500 S. Ross St. The seminar will cover benefits of trusts in estate planning, what to consider when creating your will, how to help reduce taxes on your estate and how insurance can help protect your family. Substitute teacher

orientation set

Fort Gibson Public Schools will have a substitute teacher orientation at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Community Room of the Administration Building. Attendees must bring a copy of their driver’s license and Social Security card.
