Library to offer Free Comic Book Day on Saturday

This year Oklahoma libraries are celebrating Free Comic Book Day on Saturday instead of the first weekend in May.

So, if you thought you had missed out on a free comic book from the library, you haven’t.

Since 2002, libraries across America have participated in Free Comic Book Day, so don’t forget to visit the “Q” on Saturday to get your free comic book.

Free Comic Book Day 2014 is sponsored by Friends of the Metropolitan Library System.

Two weeks from today, “Fizz, Boom, Read” and “Spark a Reaction” will officially kick off with Animal Tales!

Fort Gibson’s own “Magic Matt” will be at the library on May 30 to perform magic for us.

We have many programs lined up including a three-hour visit from a mobile museum. The Science Matters Mobile Museum, a hands-on activity museum for kids of all ages, will be here in June.
