— FG native graduates from basic training

Army Pfc. Jason Rineheart has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.

During the nine weeks of training, Rineheart received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

Rineheart is the son of Nancy Rineheart of Fort Gibson. He is a 2003 graduate of Fort Gibson High School. He earned a master's degree in 2010 from the University of St. Andrews in St. Andrews, United Kingdom.
