Students can win school supplies from library

It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over!  School will be starting in less than two weeks.

Q.B. Boydstun Public Library will have a drawing for a backpack of school supplies Monday.

There will be four winners: an Early Learning Center student, an intermediate elementary student, a middle school student, and a high school student. To enter the contest, just come into the library and check-out a book. A person may enter one time a day.

Saturday is the last day to enter the contest. A drawing will be held Monday, and the winners will be notified.

Q.B. Boydstun recently joined Library Ideas’ network of Public Library websites that offer access to more than 3 million songs including Sony Music’s catalog of legendary artists.

Freegal Music Service will allow the Q.B. Boydstun Library to increase the size and diversity of its collection by offering access to more than 10,000 music labels from 65 countries.

Under the terms of the agreement, registered cardholders who are in good standing (i.e. with no fines or overdue items) may download three Freegal Music tracks in the MP3 format each week at no direct cost.  The library underwrites the purchase of the music and it is available at ft_gibson.html.

Stop by the library to check-out a book and enter for a backpack or to learn more about Freegal.
