State champs: Lady Tigers claim Class 4A title

OKLAHOMA CITY — Fort Gibson claimed a second consecutive Class 4A girls basketball championship by defeating the Anadarko Lady Warriors, 50-47, Saturday.

The Lady Tigers became the first team to win back-to-back Class 4A titles since the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association  went to 5-on-5 in 1995.

Fort Gibson finished 30-1.

Fort Gibson also joins Bristow as the only two schools to win three Class 4A girls championships in the 5-on-5 era.
