Library gets new books for all ages: Topics run from trucks to thrills

New books for all ages are arriving at the “Q”! Some of the recent arrivals include “20 Big Trucks in the Middle of the Street” by Mark Lee.

Lee introduces young children to all kinds of trucks of varying shapes, and sizes when one ice-cream truck breaks down in the street.

It’s quite a dilemma for the truck drivers until one boy on a bike has an idea to solve the problem.

Holly Black, coauthor of “The Spiderwick Chronicles” has a new spooky book called “Doll Bones.”

For years, Zach, Poppy, and Alice have played all kinds of make-believe games with one ruler, the Great Queen, a bone-china doll kept locked in a cabinet in Poppy’s home.

Recently Poppy has been having dreams about “the ghost of a girl who will not rest until the bone-china doll is buried in her empty grave.”

T. Michael Martin’s debut novel for young adults, “The End Games,” is a thrilling story of two brothers who are battling monsters in The Game.

They get their instructions from a mysterious game master in their battle to kill the “Bellows” — hoards of undead that roam in the dark.

Beginning computer classes are offered at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

Oct. 18, Animal Tales will be here from Kentucky to present “Creepy Critters.”

Don’t forget, there’s a teen program at 4 p.m. every Tuesday and an after school activity for elementary kids at 4 p.m. every Thursday.

See you soon at the “Q!”
