NSU sets Jazz Festival

Northeastern State University’s liberal arts department of music jazz studies is hosting the 47th annual Green Country Jazz Festival on Sunday and Monday.

The first event will be the 10th annual Judges Jam at the NSU Jazz Lab at 8 p.m. Admission is $5. The festivities continue with an evening concert on Monday at the NSU Center for the Performing Arts at 7 p.m. The show will feature saxophonist Joel Frahm and NSU Jazz Ensemble. The cost for attendance is $12 for the public and only $6 for students.

The Green Country Jazz Festival promotes jazz music and jazz education, according to a media release.
