Candidates forum scheduled


— The following candidates will be at a catfish dinner and pie auction Thursday at American Legion Post 20, Maple and Railroad streets, Fort Gibson.

Candidates and position they are seeking:

Kenneth Doke - county commissioner

Steve Goad - county commissioner

Larry Moore - district attorney

James Walters - District court judge

Eric Wyatt - U.S. Senate

D. Jean McBride-Samuels - U.S. Senate

Randy Brogdon – U.S. Senate (Sending representative who will speak last)

Kevin Crow – U.S. Senate

Joan Farr – U.S. Senate

Evelyn Rodgers – U.S. Senate

Ivan Holmes - State superintendent of Instruction

Dr. Jack Heron - State superintendent of Instruction

Charles Arnall – State Senate

Kim David – State Senate (Sending representative who will speak last)



The cost of the all-you-can-eat catfish dinner is $8 and includes catfish, potato salad, cole slaw, hushpuppies, and tea, coffee, and water.

All are welcome from 4 to 7 p.m.

The pie auction begins at 6 p.m. Candidates will be speaking between auction items.

Proceeds benefit the Boy Scout troop that meets in the facility and the maintenance of the American Legion building.
