What's New at the Q
Happy New Year! Q.B. Boydstun is looking forward to many new things in 2013.
With the holidays over, programs for kids will start again. Beginning Thursday, story time will be held on Thursday mornings instead of Wednesday mornings. So if you have not been able to attend on Wednesday morning, maybe you can attend on Thursday. Story time will continue to be at 10 a.m. Lego Club will resume on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
This year we are planning to do a kid’s craft program once a month on the third Thursday of the month at 4 p.m. Judy will offer the first craft program of the New Year on Jan. 17.
Q.B. Boydstun Library has cookbooks for anyone thinking about changing their eating habits during 2013. “Fix it and Forget it Pink Cookbook: more than 700 great slow-cooker recipes” by Phyllis Good is a great place to start if you are looking for easy ways to get a good nutritious meal on the table after a long day of work.
Dr. Jamie Koufman and Jordan Stern have written a book for anyone who suffers from acid reflux called, “Dropping Acid: the reflux diet cookbook and cure. Those who suffer from acid reflux know that eating the right foods and avoiding the wrong foods makes a world of difference in how they feel. Koufman and Stern help readers identify foods that they should avoid, and provide recipes for delicious foods to enjoy.
Q.B. Boydstun Library will have a “Brown Bag Lunch” program on Jan. 22 from noon to 1 p.m. Lisa Taylor, from the OSU Extension Agency in Muskogee, will present, “Gourmet to Go.” So bring your lunch and enjoy a program!
Something new is coming to the library beginning Jan. 28 so be watching!
