Corn fest scheduled

The Fort Gibson Corn Festival is set for June 28 and 29. This year, there will be water slides, an inflatable for younger children, a photo booth, a rock wall, a ride called The Tornado, and the Sweet Corn Train for youngsters.

Live music will be available Friday night and Saturday. The corn shucking and eating contests will take place Saturday. Corn and succotash will be available for purchase, as well as lemonade.

Events will be from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Vendors also will be on hand.
