Activities await children, adults during break

— Spring Break is finally here! At Q. B. Boydstun Library we have activities planned for the week.

Judy Howard with Buckboard Quilts will be here  at noon today. Judy will tell stories about quilts she uses in her Civil War Bed Turning program.

This program is for both children and adults. So gather up the kids and come to the library today.

This is a brown bag program, so be sure to bring your lunch if you’re hungry.

We will be showing a western movie at 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Snacks will be served during the movies.  These movies are appropriate for children and adults.

We will have story time for preschoolers as usual at 10 a.m. Thursday.

After the movie on Thursday, Judy will have her craft program for school-age kids at 4 p.m. So kids can watch the movie and stay for crafts!

It won’t be long until our Summer Reading Program begins. The theme for preschool through elementary school kids this year is “Fizz, Boom, Read!”

We recently booked an artist who will teach drawing skills one day in July. So we have live animal shows, magicians, jugglers, science programs and more lined up for the summer.

We will have many activities as we encourage children and parents to read this summer.

Hope to see you soon at the Q!
