Cameron Booty rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Cooper Nunley threw for a pair of scores as Jenks beat Union 38-22 for a repeat Class 6A state championship before 12,648 at the University of Tulsa’s Chapman Stadium Thursday night.
Nunley (11-of-16, 206 yards) threw one TD pass each to Steven Parker and Riley Waldie. Parker finished the night with five catches for 164 yards. His 41-yard TD reception gave Jenks a 14-7 lead with 7:23 to go in the opening quarter and was one of three scores within a span of four minutes and 15 seconds.
Waldie’s 2-yard reception with 2:17 to go in the third gave the Trojans their biggest lead at 38-14.
Union’s Mason Farquhar had a 56-yard TD run to open the scoring and threw to Kaylor Pearson for the final score by either team. Union had just 102 yards on the ground and Farquhar, who finished with 68 yards rushing on six carries, threw for 289 yards on 26-of-40 passing. He was intercepted once.
Jenks finishes at 14-0, Union at 11-3.
