Boys basketball

CHECOTAH 68, KELLYVILLE 38 — At Checotah, the host Wildcats won in convincing fashion over Kellyville. Checotah’s offensive barrage was led by Cameron Pipe with 16 points, Deshawn Jackson with 11 points and Keaton Donovan with 10 points. The Wildcats outscored Kellyville 44-19 in the first half. Checotah (2-0) will travel to play Henryetta tonight.

WILSON 47, MIDWAY 41, OT - The Chargers lost at home in overtime to Wilson. Midway will travel to play Gans tonight.

GREENLEAF  TOURNAMENT — Completing the final round of games delayed by snow and ice two weekends ago, Hulbert beat Webbers Falls 68-48 to win third place as Mason Fielden hit for 23 points and Parker Taylor had 18. Dillon Coleman had 13 for Webbers.  Hulbert (3-1) with play at Gore tonight. Webbers Falls (3-4) will host Porter on Thursday.

Kinta beat Porter 56-44 for the consolation game.  Zach Sweetin had 26 points and Ricky Thom with 16 for Kinta.. Matt Garcia scored 16 points, and Darius Steele scored 10 points for the Pirates (3-2), who host Braggs tonight.

Oaks won the championship game played Saturday, beating Porum.

Girls basketball

CHECOTAH 57, KELLYVILLE 43  — Although a tight game throughout, host Checotah outscored Kellyville 17-6 in the fourth quarter to secure the win and were led by Newakis Banks with 23 points, Jazzlyn Dandridge with 13 points, and Katelyn Donovan with 10 points. The Lady Wildcats (1-1) will travel to play Henryetta tonight.  

MIDWAY 42, WILSON 39, 2 OT — Haelee Crosby was 4-for-4 from the line in the two overtime periods to help the Lady Chargers (4-2) to a home win. It was 31-31 at the end of regulation and 35-all going into the second extra frame.

Brittanie Bernard led Midway with 13 points. Crosby, along with Alexa Miner, had 11. Midway will travel to play Gans tonight.

GREENLEAF TOURNAMENT — The host Porum Lady Panthers took third place by a 58-51 count over Webbers Falls, breaking open a close game by outscoring the Lady Warriors 15-9 in the third quarter to pull away. Shelby Smith, Katie McCullar, and Kori Lindsey, all with 14 points each, and Shailan Toney with 10 points led the Lady Panthers to victory. For Webbers, Autumn Cato had 18 points. Porum (5-1) will host Webbers Falls on Friday. Webbers Falls (3-4) will host Porter on Thursday.

And for the consolation title, Kinta beat Gore 48-19. Brittney Thorn hit five 3-pointers to finish with 17 points and Zana Thompson scored 10 points. Gore (0-4) will host the Hulbert Lady Riders tonight. Hulbert lost in the girls title game here on Saturday.
