Boys

SEQUOYAH 61, PRYOR 55 – Despite some injuries to key players the Indians pulled out the victory in the consolation game for the 3A No. 5 Indians (4-1). Zach Parish pushed through a back injury coming up big with 18 points. B.J. Leach registered 14 points and Quinton Johnston pitched in 10. Sequoyah was solid from the stripe, knocking down 18 of 26 to assure the win.

Girls

SEQUOYAH 65, CATOOSA 35 – The 3A No. 3 Lady Indians (4-1) shot the ball well and forced turnovers in their consolation victory. Audrey Ballou poured in 17 as Sequoyah led by 30 at the half. Loren Young had 12 points and Johnette Cookson scored 11 in the blowout. Starters were pulled midway through the third quarter.

CANADIAN

Boys

CANADIAN 72, WARNER 53 – It was a back and forth game for the first half of play, but in the end Warner couldn’t keep up with the size of the tournament hosts. The Eagles were led by 21 points from Levi Jones. He also had 5 steals. Tyler Wardlow put in 15, and KT Parker added 10 for Warner (2-2).  

Girls

WARNER 59, WEBBERS FALLS 51 – A big second half propelled the Lady Eagles to raise the championship trophy. Trailing by two at the half, Warner (3-1) picked up the pace and outscored Webbers Falls in each of the final two periods. Chelsea Anderson led the way for the Lady Eagles with 24 points, while Kaylee Mathews hit 12.  

TAHLEQUAH INVITATIONAL

Boys

LAWTON MACARTHUR 60, TAHLEQUAH 50 — Lawton MacArthur beat Tahlequah 60-50 for third place. Tahlequah (1-3) led midway through the second quarter but three 3s by Travis Cook to close the half helped Lawton Mac to a 31-18 advantage.

Dalton Cunningham had 15 points, Matt Alberty 12 and Hunter Smith 10 for the Tigers in the loss. In the championship game, Van Buren, Ark., beat Sand Springs 55-47. Moore beat Coweta 52-47 for the consolation title.

Girls

ROGERS ARK. 54, TAHLEQUAH 37 – The Lady Tigers were up 14-7 midway through the second period but couldn’t hold on. Marissa Girdner was an all-tournament selection and scored 11 points in the losing effort. Kacady Glory added 7 for Tahlequah (2-2). Yukon defeated Enid 57-39 in the championship game. Sand Springs defeated Tulsa Memorial 55-42 for third.



GREENLEAF INVITATIONAL, PORUM

Boys

OAKS 58, PORUM 41 –  Resuming a tournament stopped last week by snow and ice,  Porum (2-4) fell short of a title after leading Oaks at the half 27-24. A 15- point turnaround in the third proved to be too much. Austin Wright led the Panthers with 16 points and Jacob Greeling had 11.

Girls

OAKS 60, HULBERT 37 – The Lady Riders were handed their first loss of the season in the championship round. Hulbert (3-1) was led on the night with 9 points from Tiffany Thompson.



WILSON TOURNAMENT, HENRYETTA

 Girls

MIDWAY 33, HANNA 27 – Haelee Crosby knocked down 11 of her 14 points in the fourth quarter as Midway (3-2) rallied in the fourth quarter to take home third place.

Boys

WAGONER 53, KEYS 44 — Two Bulldogs had double-doubles — Ya’Aquoob King had 26 points and 16 rebounds and Anthony Ashley had 10 points and 11 boards — as Wagoner (1-1) evened its record. Chris Stayathome had 20 points for the Cougars.

Girls

KEYS 66, WAGONER 35 — Jaylee Young had 18 points and Sydni Rainbolt had 17 after sitting out the second quarter with foul trouble for the Lady Cougars (1-1). Keys used a 26-point third quarter to blow the game open. Wagoner (0-2) was led by Kallie Smith with 12.
