LARGE SCHOOL GIRLS — Webster got 21 from Ciarra Asberry in a 48-46 win over the Checotah Ladycats, who had double figures from Jazzlyn Dambridge (14) and Katelyn Donathan (10). Checotah (3-3) plays for seventh place against Tulsa Hale and Webster (4-3) plays for the consolation title on Saturday against Coweta. Coweta (2-5) won 60-30 over Hale, which fell to 0-7. For Coweta, which had to forfeit its first game due to school cancellations, Courtney Haas with 14 points and Madison Bingham also in double figures with 11 points.
SMALL SCHOOL BOYS — Summit Chistian roared out to a 17-4 first quarter lead and were never threatened as they knocked off the Hilldale junior varsity 65-39 in the Small Boys Division at Muskogee High. Summit plays Santa Fe South, a 52-32 winner over Porter, at 10:30 a.m. at Muskogee High and Hilldale’s JV gets Porter at 10:30 a.m., at Hilldale.
SMALL SCHOOL GIRLS — At Muskogee High, Megan Cox had 16 points and Tiffany Thompson 13 points and Hulbert (5-3) used a 15-4 third-quarter surge for a 55-39 win over Porter (2-6), which was led by Cheyenne Marshall with 10 points.
After losing to Sequoyah 97-19 in the first round, Cookson Hills absorbed another shellacking, 88-19 to Summit Christian. Raley Farquhar had 20 points for Summit (4-5) which gets Hulbert at 9 a.m. Saturday for fifth place at MHS and Porter takes on Cookson Hills at Hilldale, also at 9 a.m.
