VIAN 69, OKAY 29 — Vian (5-6, 3-3) led at the half 40-10 and cruised past the Mustangs (5-9, 2-3) in Big Eight Conference action. Shane Ross had 13 points and Shawn Troutman 11 points for the Wolverines. Okay’s top scorer was Zac Cagle with 9 points.

PORTER 64, WEBBERS FALLS 53 — The Pirates (12-2, 6-0) got a game-high 32 points from Jacob Richardson in a Riverside Conference game against the Warriors (10-9, 5-3). The two double-figure scorers for Webbers were Jordan Sharp with 27 points and Hunter Bray adding 12 points.


VIAN 64, OKAY 33 — The Lady Wolverines (8-3,6-0) rolled past the Lady Mustangs (5-9,1-5) in an BIg Eight Conference game. Nese Walters had 18 points and Erica Casey 10 points for Vian, while Bristen Graves led the Lady Mustangs with 12 points.

WEBBERS FALLS 56, PORTER 31 — The Lady Warriors (9-11, 5-3) get a Riverside Conference win over the Lady Pirates (3-9, 1-5) behind Bailey Toney’s 18 points and Cheyenne McGuire’s 16.

For Porter, Tiona Mayes led with 10 points.


PORUM INVITATIONAL – The Gore Pirates jumped on Panola early and cruised to a 73-21 win in first-round action on Tuesday. James Bird led the Pirates (5-8) with 18 points.

The host Porum Panthers ended day-two action with a 55-29 loss to Quinton. Austin Wright was the leading scorer for Porum (5-4) with 16 points.

Gore will play Quinton at 8:30 p.m. Thursday while Porum faces Panola at 5:50 p.m. Thursday.

On the girls side, the Midway Lady Chargers raced out to a 24-point halftime advantage on their way to a 62-16 win over Panola in their first-round matchup.

Midway (16-2) held a 32-8 lead at intermission and never looked back as all 10 players scored for the Lady Chargers. Kristy Sawvel paved the way for Midway as she finished with 16 points while Joanna VanBrunt tallied 12 points.

Midway plays Quinton, a 50-32 winner over McCurtain, at 7:10 p.m. Friday while Panola meets McCurtain at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
