HILLDALE WINS — The Hornets won their third tournament in four outings, taking top honors at the Jeff Lawrence Golf Classic at Henryetta Golf Course. The Hornets shot 330, three strokes better than runner-up Stigler at 333. Eufaula was third at 337.

Bethel, which fielded just three golfers, had the top two finishers led by Alex Cunningham’s 1-over 73. Hilldale had three in the top 10 — Chandler Puckett shot 79 for third, Brent Lecrone fifth at 83 and Tanner Ingel 10th at 86.

FORT GIBSON FIRST — Finishing with three in the top 10 individually, the Tiger boys captured the Roland Invitational, shooting a 315. Wesley Jackson shot a 73 to take medalist honors. Dalton Rhoden shot 78 for fifth place and Rayne Cox’s 80 was took seventh. Collin Abdallah shot 84 and Jake Gandara an 88. The Tigers were coming off a Keys Invitational win on Tuesday where Jackson was runner-up with a 78. Rhoden was third, Cox was seventh, Abdallah eighth and Gandara was 10th in that event.
