BC football keeps rising

The Bacone Warriors football keeps climbing in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics coaches poll.

The Warriors first appeared this year in the poll two weeks ago at No. 24, Last week, Bacone had climbed to No. 23 and in the new poll, released Monday, the Warriors are at No. 22.

The Warriors host Langston at 2 p.m. Saturday with the winner in the driver’s seat for the Central States Football League championship.

CSC men hosting Patriot Day

The Connors State Cowboys will battle Southwestern Christian on at 7 p.m. Wednesday in a Patriotic Day Celebration at Melvin Self Field House.

All military members, and former military members and their families will be admitted free to the game.

TU women into C-USA quarters

HOUSTON, Texas – The Tulsa women’s soccer team earned a 1-0 win over UAB in the first round of the Conference USA Women’s Championship tournament on Monday at Holloway Field in Houston, Texas.

With the win, TU advances to the quarterfinals and will face top-seeded Colorado College at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. TU improves to 11-6-3 on the season, while UAB concluded the year with an 11-7-2 mark.

Jordan O’Brien scored the only goal of the match at the 8:16 mark as she knocked in a rebound off a free kick taken by Claire Nicholson.  This was O’Brien’s third goal of the season.
