Area softball players named All-State

Muskogee’s Shaylee Rowland and Nia Maxwell made the Oklahoma Slowpitch Softball Coaches Association All-State teams released this weekend.

Rowland, a pitcher and Maxwell, a catcher, will be joined by Tahlequah shortstop Randee O’Donnell and outfielder Caitlin Chuculate on the Large School East team. On the Middle East team will be Oktaha’s Callie Barnes. Her coach will be her Oktaha coach, Kia Holmes.

The games will be June 14 at the University of Oklahoma. Small schools start play at 11 a.m. with the Middle game at 1 p.m. and Large game at 3 p.m.
