Area seniors in All-State SB

The Oklahoma Slowpitch Softball Coaches Association conducted their All-State games on Saturday in Norman and five area seniors were on winning teams.

The Large School East squad beat the West 16-9 in the 6A game. Muskogee’s Shaylee Rowland and Nia Maxwell figured in the scoring as Rowland was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two runs batted while Maxwell was hitless but did score a run.

Tahlequah’s Randee O’Donnell and Caitlin Chuculate were also on the Large East squad. O’Donnell was 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs while Chuculate was 1-for-2 with a walk.

The Middle East team beat the West 21-5. Oktaha’s Callie Barnes was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and four RBIs and also pitched four innings and surrendered two runs.
