Area prep sports briefs and Tuesday's prep schedule

Area players named All-State

Hilldale wide receiver Bradley Campbell, Wagoner running back Lawrence Evitt and Vian defensive back Shamal Evans were named to the All-State East football team, released Monday by the Oklahoma Coaches Association.

Only seniors are eligible for All-State selections.

The game will be on Aug. 1 as part of OCA All-State week.

The following were named All-Stars in their respective class:

Class 6A: Muskogee: linebacker Ty-Chris Beasley and defensive end Tramal Ivy.

Class 4A: Fort Gibson: offensive lineman Sheldon Smith; Wagoner: Evitt, receiver Hayden Ford and linebacker Devin Hawkins;

Class 3A: Hilldale: Campbell, quarterback Chandler Puckett; Stigler: quarterback Seth Sandln and tight end Austan Drewry.

Class 2A: Vian: Evans, defensive back Dakota Eads; Haskell: defensive back Alex Wheeland; Checotah: quarterback Caleb Knight.

Class A: Gore: linebacker Christopher Jarvis; Warner: defensive back Clint Kite.
