Evitt commits to C. Oklahoma

Wagoner running back Lawrence Evitt, the Phoenix’s Most Valuable Player in 2013, committed this weekend to play football at Central Oklahoma.

Evitt rushed for 2.641 yards  on 238 carries and 31 TDs in helping the Bulldogs to the Class 4A semifinals in 2013, the same spot and against the same team they fell in 2012 when he had 2,980 yards rushing.

Verbal commitments are non-binding. National signing day is Feb. 5.

Evitt joining UCO would give the Bronchos the last two All-Phoenix MVPs. Jake Gandara of Fort Gibson signed to play there last February.
