Prep basketball roundup and today's schedule


STILWELL 59, TAHLEQUAH 46 – At Stilwell, the Tigers lost despite the scoring efforts of Will Carlile and Hunter Smith with 13 points each. Tahlequah (6-15) trailed 31-21 at the half, outscored Stilwell 12-10 in the third quarter, but was outscored 18-13 in the fourth quarter for the loss.

VIAN 50, KEYS 42 – In Park Hill on Monday, Eric Casey had 18 points, Mason Kittrell had 12 points and Denver Coffee had 10 points to lead the Wolverines to victory. For the Cougars, Chris Stayathome had 15 points and Tyler Stilwell had 10 points. Vian (10-9) led 30-26 at the half. Keys (2-17) will play at 3A No. 5 Sequoyah in districts on Saturday.

LOCUST GROVE 79, WAGONER 25 – The Bulldogs were steamrolled on the road by 4A No. 7 Locust Grove. For Wagoner, Ya’quoob King had 16 points and nine rebounds. Wagoner (4-18) will play at Fort Gibson in districts on Saturday.

CHOUTEAU 66, HULBERT 54 – Mason Fielden had 19 points and Rico Wynn had 11 points for the Riders in their road loss to Chouteau. Hulbert is now 15-7.  


STILWELL 66, TAHLEQUAH 55 – The Lady Tigers kept it close but ultimately lost on the road due to a strong fourth quarter by Stilwell. For Tahlequah (8-13), Whitney Wright scored 14 points.

KEYS 43, VIAN 39 – Keys pulled out the upset at home over the 3A No. 9 Vian Lady Wolverines, handing them their second loss of the season, both which came at the hands of the Lady Cougars. Sydni Rainbolt had 13 points and Morgan Drywater had 11 points for Keys. Desiree Moon scored 17 points for Vian but the Lady Wolverines (17-2) were ultimately sunk by poor free-throw shooting, going 2-15 from the line. Keys (8-10) will play at 3A No. 5 Sequoyah on Saturday in districts.

LOCUST GROVE 62, WAGONER 47 – Kristen Robbins had 12 points for the Lady Bulldogs in their loss on the road to 4A No. 10 Locust Grove. Wagoner (6-15) will play at Fort Gibson in districts on Saturday.

HULBERT 69, CHOUTEAU 54 – Hulbert pulled out the big win on the road. The Lady Riders (14-8) were led to victory by the scoring of Tiffany Thompson with 31 points and Tina Buford with 20 points.
