A coin flip denied Muskogee a shot at an overall volleyball tournament title at Moore on Saturday.
The Lady Roughers tied with Midwest City and Yukon, each going 2-1 in pool play, and because of a lost coin flip, had to settle for capturing the Silver Bracket title with 3-0 wins over Ponca City (25-20, 25-16, 25-17) and Putnam City North (25-15, 25-17, 25-15).
Midwest City and Yukon advanced to the championship bracket.
Muskogee’s only loss in five games at Moore to Yukon on Friday.
Claire Farmer was the Lady Roughers’ all-tourney selection. She totaled 82 kills in the two days. Jensen Martin had 102 assists and 22 aces.
“Jensen played an amazing tournament,” Muskogee coach John Hammer said. “She was worth of an all-tourney selection.”
Shauna Logan had 41 kills and Leigh Westbrook 31 kills and 12 blocks.
Muskogee moved to 20-10 and is two wins from matching the best season in school history. Its remaining games are Choctaw at home Monday, at Putnam City North on Tuesday and Coweta at MHS for Senior Night on Thursday.
