Fastpitch Softball

CLASS 2A REGIONAL – At Liberty, the Warner Lady Eagles reached today’s finals with wins over Liberty 8-7 and Wayne 2-1.

Warner (22-8) plays at 2 p.m. against the survivor between Wayne and Liberty, who play at noon.

Cheyenne Miller (13-4) got the win in both games. In game one Raven Girty went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Miller went 1-for-3 with an RBI, and Payton Jackson went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. In game two, Zadie McElhaney went 1-for-2 and Chelsea Anderson went 1-for-3.

CLASS A REGIONAL –  At Wright City, Porum (18-8) went out with a pair of losses, falling first to Rattan 13-7 then 3-0 to Howe.

Jhonny Bailey was 2-for-2 with a double and Kylie Powell and Katie McCullar also had a hit each. McCullar, who pitched for the loss in both games, managed 18 strikeouts combined.

TAHLEQUAH 16, MCALESTER 0 – In a tune-up for next week’s Class 5A regionals, the Lady Tigers improved their record to 32-3 as Morgan Torrance got the win from the circle going five innings striking out six and giving up just two hits. Randee O’Donnell went 3-for-3, Marissa Girdner went 3-for-4 and Whitney Wright went 2-for-3. Tahlequah takes on Hilldale in another regional tune-up at 5 p.m. Monday

OWASSO 9, MUSKOGEE 6 – The Lady Roughers fell to 24-7 on the season as Shaylee Rowland (16-7) took the loss going 4-2/3 innings giving up eight runs on 10 hits. Nia Maxwell and Bailee Hendrickson were both 2-for-3, Maxwell’s hits being a double and a home run. She totaled four RBIs. Aubrey Johnson went 2-for-4. Muskogee is back in action at 11:45 a.m. today at the Bixby Festival against Pryor.

Volleyball

MUSKOGEE 3, COWETA 0 – The Lady Roughers finished off their regular season winning 10 of their last 11 games and setting a school record for wins with a 23-10 record. Muskogee won their match by scores of, 25-16, 25-17 and 25-17. Jensen Martin had 36 assists, four digs and three kills. Claire Farmer had 14 kills and five digs. Karla Jones added 10 kills, seven digs and three blocks. Abby Wayman had seven kills for Muskogee as well.

The Lady Roughers begin regionals on Thursday at Bishop Kelly against Westmoore, with the start time to be determined.
