Baseball

FORT GIBSON WINS TWO – In its own tournament Friday, the Tigers beat Victory Christian 6-5 and Bristow 14-0. Eric Hudson got the win and Colton Dorris the save against Victory Christian. In beating Bristow, Boo Seward and Bubba Stone each had three hits and Braden Williams had two. The Tigers improved to 11-14 for the season.

OKTAHA SPLITS TWO – The Tigers split a three-way, beating Meeker 14-5 and losing 5-4 to Madill.

Daceauda Davis (4-3) was the winning pitcher and had two hits and drove in two runs. Caleb Shoemake had three hits, while Tyler Edgar and Jordan Webb each had two hits. Webb hit his first home run of the season.

Jordan Webb (5-4) was the losing pitcher and had five strikeouts. Tristan Yarbrough hit his first home run in the loss.

Softball

TAHLEQUAH 12-18, FORT GIBSON 0-6 – Tahlequah improved to 32-2 on the season with the doubleheader sweep of Fort Gibson at Tahlequah.

Tahlequah, 32-2 and No. 2 in the Okrankings.com Class 6A poll, erupted for 10 runs in the second inning of the first game. In the second game, they scored their runs in the first three innings.

Fort Gibson fell to 7-14 on the season.

BRAGGS WIN DISTRICTS – The Lady Wildcats ran their record to 24-5 after they swept through their district playoffs, beating Oilton 7-3, Prue 24-0 and 11-0.

In the win against Oilton, Mady Englebretson hit her first home run of the year. In the 24-0 against Prue, Makayla Coen  had three hits including a grand slam for her eighth home run of the season. Maria Larchey had three hits, Jaycie Ray had two with three RBIs and Krissy Perry added two hits. In beating Prue 11-0, Englebretson was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, Nancy Clark was 2-for-2 and Perry was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

SEQUOYAH 12, STILWELL 0 – Winning pitcher Mara Hooper tossed the shutout as Sequoyah improved to 13-10. Heather Pacheco had three hits, Megan Towie added two hits and Kelsey Leach had a two-run home run for her seventh of the season.
