Prep roundup and today's schedule

VIAN-OKTAHA — An epic hailstorm dropped about an inch of frozen precipitation with two outs in the bottom of the third of a scoreless game at Oktaha.

Left-hander Decauda Davis had struck out six Wolverines in three innings of work, giving up two Vian hits — both to Denver Coffee. Dalton Martin reached off Vian southpaw Jon Andrews on a single to center in the first and Dakota Berry led off the second with an infield single.

Oktaha’s leadoff batter, Austin Crowder, had just popped up for the second out of the bottom of the third when lightning sent both teams to the adjacent gym. About 15 minutes into what was to be a 30-minute delay, hail without rain fell intensely for approximately 10 minutes, turning the field into what looked like a winter wonderland.

No news as to if the game will be made up.

CROWDER TOURNAMENT – The 3A No. 7 Eufaula Ironheads remained perfect on the season with a 2-0 win over host Crowder on Friday in the Crowder Tournament. Trey Moore (5-0) tossed a complete game for Eufaula (12-0), giving up just one hit with 13 strikeouts while driving in one run. Ronnie Hallum was 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Colin Walch scored both of the Ironheads’ runs.

SEQUOYAH, TAHLEQUAH RAINED OUT – The Indians and Tahlequah Tigers have no make-up date as of yet.

BRAGGS DELAYED – Braggs will make up its rainout at the Okay Tournament at 4 p.m. Monday.

HILLDALE POSTPONED – Weather permitting, the Hornets will face Victory Christian in the Beggs Tourney at noon today.

MUSKOGEE 6, CAPITOL HILL 0 – In the Muskogee Classic, Lady Roughers freshman Bailey Tull made her first career start a success dropping a double-dose of goals. Dia Brown and Kalen Castor also scored a pair each. Cassidy Drabek started at keeper and her teammate, Emily Shackleford entered the second half and held Capital Hill scoreless. Muskogee (2-2) faces Broken Arrow at 10:30 a.m. today, followed up with a rematch with Capitol Hill at 4:30 p.m. today.

RAINOUTS – The Porter and Wagoner boys and girls games were rained out.
