CATOOSA 18, FORT GIBSON 0 — Holding the Tigers to four hits, the No. 8 Indians (21-9) won big after battling through the loser’s bracket after a 4-3 loss to Fort Gibson to start the tournament and now get a winner-take-all battle today at 2 p.m. The Tigers fell to 16-19.
4A at Metro Christian
POSTPONED — Originally scheduled to start today, this regional bypassed the option of moving up a day and will try to start today. Wagoner plays Checotah at 11 a.m. with Metro Christian taking on Stilwell at 1 p.m.
3A at Spiro
EUFAULA 4, STIGLER 1 —In a game called after six innings and a lengthy rain delay, the Ironheads scored two runs in the first and two more in the third to take a 4-0 lead.
Bailey Breedlove was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs for Eufaula. He had an RBI single in the first and a RBI double in the third.
Dillon Larkin had an RBI single in the first for a 2-0 lead. Eufaula went up 4-0 on an RBI single by Brandon Hawkins in the third.
Stigler's lone run came on a two-out RBI hit by Quontez Jim in the fourth. Panthers were held to five hits. Trey Moore went the first five innings for Eufaula, allowing a run on three hits, striking out five. Colin Walch pitched a scoreless sixth for Eufaula.
The Ironheads are scheduled to play Spiro for the regional title at 1 p.m. today.
3A at Heavener
HEAVENER VS. VIAN — Heavener was leading 3-2 in the top of the fourth when the game was suspended due to rain. The game will resume at 3 p.m. today with the winner facing Kingston immediately following. Kingston must be defeated twice by the survivor.
3A at Oktaha
POSTPONED — The second day of this regional was rained out on Thursday. Oktaha will play Okemah at 1 p.m. with the winner getting Kansas at 3 p.m. Should Kansas lose, the regional will be decided at 1 p.m. Saturday.
