TWIN RIVER SHOOTOUT—The Porum Lady Panthers (14-1) split two contests in the Gore Twin Rivers Shootout, losing their first game to Heavener 7-3 while coming back to beat Gore 13-9. The pitcher in both contests was Mykelia Tillery, her record moving to 13-1. Porum’s top hitter in both contests was Carly Anderson who was 3-for-6 for the day. Katie McCullar was 5-for-6 on the afternoon and Shelby Smith was 2-for-3 in the second game and had a home run, her first of the year. Porum continues play against the Wilburton-Panama loser at 12:20 p.m. today.
In other action, Gore dropped to 0-2 in pool play losing to Keota and Porum. Panama won their game against Central Sallisaw 10-0. Central Sallisaw is 1-1 in pool play after they picked up a win over Gans 13-5. Gans is 0-2 in pool play, losing their second game to Webbers Falls 9-1.
STIGLER WINS THREE-WAY — Stigler took advantage of six Warner errors — the fourth game in a row the Lady Eagles have committed that many miscues — and avenged a 12-0 beating last week en route to a sweep of a three-way also involving Keys, played at the Warner diamond.
Stigler beat Keys 12-8 in eight innings and Warner pounded Keys 10-1 in the other game.
Carley Lyons had four hits on the day for Warner (8-5), including her third home run, a two-run blast against Keys.
