HILLDALE 12, SALLISAW 4 – Hilldale scored three runs in the first and third innings and added five in the sixth to beat Sallisaw. Hunter Harrison led the way offensively for the Hornets with a 3-for-5 day with a triple and two doubles while Colby Mullens added a two-run double.

Devin Riede picked up the win, scattering six hits over five innings, giving up three runs

BERRYHILL 14, FORT GIBSON – Berryhill scored seven runs in the bottom of the fourth inning which finished off Fort Gibson. The losing pitcher was Eric Hudson which moved his record to 0-4. Top hitters for the Tigers were Braden Williams with a double and Tyler Stach with a single.

OKTAHA 9, STUART 2 – The Oktaha Tigers (9-6) took third place in the Stuart Tournament in Preston. Jordan Webb improved to 5-2, giving up two runs and striking out 12. Caleb Shoemake was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs and Josh Bible and Zach Evans had two RBIs each.

CHECOTAH 8, EUFAULA 1 – The Checotah Wildcats used a 6-run sixth inning to outdistance the Eufaula Ironheads on Saturday.

Jack Christian got the win for the Wildcats (12-7), going all seven innings while striking out seven and scattering five hits. Colin Walsh (4-1) took the loss for Eufaula (9-4).

Caleb Knight led Checotah going 2-for-3 with one run scored and three RBIS, all coming on his fifth home run of the season in the sixth inning. Wyatt Hatridge was 2-for-4 for the Wildcats with one run scored and two RBIs.

WARNER CAPTURES GORE TOURNAMENT – The Warner Eagles knocked off Gore 13-5 behind Gage Sparrow’s (5-1) 16 strikeouts to capture the Gore tournament on Saturday.

Justin Wright was 4-for-4 for the day which included a two-run home run in the first game and a solo shot in the second game. In the semifinals, a 10-3 win over the Tulsa Union JV, Tim Smithson (4-0) was the winning pitcher for Warner (20-3), striking out eight while going 4-for-4 at the plate with four RBIs, including his first home run of the year, while Tristan VanDaley was 2-for-2 with an RBI.

VIAN SPLITS AT WOOD BAT – The Vian Wolverines (16-2) split their two late games on Friday at the Claremore Wood Bat Festival, beating Chelsea 7-6 before falling to Class 4A No. 2 Berryhill 6-1.



Softball

EUFAULA FINISHES THIRD IN CROWDER – The Lady Ironheads took third place in the Crowder tournament on Friday night. They lost their first game to Crowder 10-0, beat Braggs 9-6 in game two and beat Quinton 9-1 in the third-place game.

TWIN RIVER SHOOTOUT – The Porum Lady Panthers went 1-2 in the Gore Twin River Shootout after they fell to Wilburton 13-0 on Saturday. Keota won the championship game against Panama 8-2.
