Muskogee wrestlers shine in opener

— Four Muskogee wrestlers captured individual titles Saturday in the Roughers’ season-opening outing at the Union Takedown Tournament.

Matt Acee won at 138 pounds as did Jacobe Smith at 160, J.T. Andrews at 170 and Cori Andrews at 195. Dewaylon Barnes was second at 152 as was Chase Soper at 120, and Dalton Harnage took fourth at 132.

The junior high division saw Colton Paris win at 175 and Xavier Taylor took the title at 126. Jordan Brown was second at 110 and Xavion Taylor was third at 118.

Muskogee is in the Broken Arrow Open next Saturday and in two weeks host the Charles Garrett emorial Open.
