CENTRAL 25, TAHLEQUAH 23 – Tahlequah quarterback David Dick rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns in the loss (1-6, 1-3 District 5A-4).
Central scored two touchdowns late in the fourth quarter to take the lead. DJ Daniels’ nine-yard run with 4:45 left gave the Braves (2-5, 1-3) a 19-15 lead. Kejuan Johnson followed with a 30-yard scoring run 47 seconds later to give Central a 10-point advantage.
Central quarterback D’Angelo Brewer finished with 124 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
WEBBERS FALLS 36, MAUD 22 – The Warriors (4-2, 3-1 C-4) got off to a good start as they blocked a punt by Maud (4-3, 2-2) to set up a nine-yard run for a touchdown by Dusty Mason.
Dillon Coleman led all rushers with seven carries for 129 yards and three touchdowns. Coleman’s touchdown came from 3, 45 and 60 yards. Coleman also had an interception that he returned 60-yards to set up a Warrior touchdown. At the half Maud led the game 16-14. Darren Shanks had a big night on both sides of the ball, as he was 13-of-18 passing for four touchdowns on 163 yards. Shanks was a wrecking crew on defense as he had 25 tackles and a forced fumble. Taylor Stephens also scored in the game on a 12-yard pass from Shanks.
VIAN 47, HUGO 0 – The Wolverines (7-0,3-0 2A-6) got off to a quick start against Hugo (5-2, 1-2) wtih 20-0 lead at halftime. Eric Casey had a good night running the ball as had 168 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns from 22 yards and 46 yards. Riley Simon ran in two touchdowns as well one from a yard out and the other from 65 yards out. Simon also had a pick six for 40 yards; Simon was also 3-for-6 passing for 106 yards with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Dakota Brown.
SEQUOYAH 28, SPERRY 7 – The Indians improved to 4-3 on the season as Cody Hooper scored 17-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Punter Nick Kingfisher bobbled the snap on a punt and turned it into an 81-yard touchdown run to put the Indians up 14-0. Zach Parish threw two touchdown passes to Caisen Green one for 40 yards and the other from seven-yards.
EUFAULA 54, VALLIANT 7 – The Ironheads (3-4, 2-2 3A-8) ended their two-game losing streak with a big win over Valliant (2-5, 2-2). Casey Prior had 24 carries for 181 yards and two touchdowns. Prior’s touchdowns were of 49 and 5 yards. The score was close at halftime as Eufaula led 19-7. The Ironheads put the offense in overdrive in the second half as Trey Moore scored from 10 yards, and Devon Siers scored from 7 yards out. Siers also scored on touchdown passes from Gunner Ford from 9 and 8 yards out. Ford was perfect throwing the ball 5-for-5 for 48 yards. Hunter Powel and Hunter Schaeffer got in on the scoring as Powell scored on a five-yard run and Schaeffer had a 44-yards rumble return for a touchdown.
OKEMAH 41, HASKELL 14 – Okemah (5-2, 3-1 2A-5) did not let up on Haskell (3-4, 1-2) until the fourth quarter when the Haymakers finally got on the scoreboard Brody Enkey threw an 84 yard pass to Chris Wright. Wright also scored on a 77-yard kickoff return for the Haymakers final score. Enkey was 21-of- 34 passing for 233 yards.
FAIRLAND 18, PORTER 6 – Fairland (4-3, 3-1 A-8) got past the Porter Pirates (1-6, 0-3) as the Pirates only score came from Darrius Steele as he rushed for 204 yards. Steele and Derrick Roath both had interceptions in the game as well.
SAVANNA 56, GORE 6 – Savanna (6-1, 3-0 A-6) scored in bunches against the Pirates ((1-6, 1-3) as the Pirates lone score came from Wade Shanks on a one yard run.
SASAKWA 52, MIDWAY 0 – Sasakwa (5-2, 3-1 C-4) mercy ruled the Chargers of Midway (1-6, 1-5).
STIGLER 22, CHECOTAH 15 – The Panthers (5-2, 3-1 3A-8) got a hard fought victory as they hand Checotah (6-1, 3-1) their first loss of the season. Seth Sandlin was a force as he had 27 carries for 207 yards, with two touchdown runs. Sandlin had runs from one yard out and 86 yards. The score at the half was 15-13 Checotah before Stigler took the lead on a 30-yard field goal by Tristen Cone. Blaine Thompson capped off the scoring with an 18-yard reception for a touchdown from Sandlin.
LINCOLN CHRISTIAN 49, KEYS 16 – Lincoln Christian (4-3, 2-1 3A-7) made it look easy against Keys (1-6, 1-2). Dakota Matlock had 20 carries for the Cougars for 155 yards and two touchdowns. Keys was held to 367 yards total offense in the loss.
SALINA 41, HULBERT 23– Salina (6-1, 4-0 2A-8) Hulbert (0-7, 0-4) No stats available at press time.
DAVENPORT 46, PORUM 0 – Davenport (5-2, 4-2 B-4) Porum (3-4, 2-4) No stats available at press time.
