 TULSA MEMORIAL 13, TAHLEQUAH 8 – Colby Brittain pitched 3 2/3 innings allowing just four runs on two hits and whiffing five for Tahlequah (1-2). Brittain (0-1) picked up the loss. Houston Glad went 2-for-4, knocking in a pair of runs and Ben Stacey had a two-run single.

STIGLER 15, TALIHINA 5 – The Panthers (2-0) used a big night from Austin Drewry who went 2-for-4 with a double, homer, and three RBIs. Quantez Jim was 3-for-4 with one RBI. Cameron Highfell picked up the win on the mound pitching four innings, giving up two earned runs, and sat down five.

 VIAN 11, HULBERT 0 – Matt McConell pitched four strong innings allowing just one hit and striking out seven to pick up his first win on the season from the hill for 3A No. 4 Vian (2-0). Rylee Simon was perfect on the night, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Denver Coffee was 3-for-4 with an RBI.

WARNER 11, WEBBERS FALLS 1 – Warner freshman Garrett Rice picked up his first win on the season going the distance, allowing one earned run, and striking out seven. Tyler Wardlow went 2-for-3 from the plate with four RBIs for the Eagles who improved to 1-2.

CHECOTAH 13, HASKELL 0 – Checotah (4-1) and its star Andrew Sands had a monster night. Sands pitched a complete game shut-out, striking out five, and allowing just three hits. Sands was also 3-for-4 with a two-run blast and knocked in four runs in all. Cody Gilroy had four RBIs for the Eagles on two hits.

OKTAHA 4, WISTER 2 — Austin Crowder’s RBI single and a run-scoring sacrifice fly by Dalton Martin gave the Tigers (2-1) the win in nine innings.

Martin (1-0) allowed four hits in four innings in relief. He and starter Tristan Yarbrough combined for 17 strikeouts. Martin had nine. Back at the plate, Martin was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two doubles. Austin Crowder was 2-for-5 and Yarbrough two hits.

EUFAULA 8, OKMULGEE 0 — Colin Walch tossed a one-hitter in five innings for Eufaula (1-0) striking out nine. Ronnie Hallum was 2-for-3 and Trey Moore doubled.  

RAINOUT – Braggs game with Kinta was canceled due to field conditions. No make-up date has been scheduled.

 WARNER 14, STIGLER 10 – The Lady Eagles were held scoreless through three innings and exploded to score six runs in the fourth. Raven Girty started the rally with a base hit and Tristan Potts brought her home with a two-run bomb. Girty went 3-for-3 and is still perfect batting 6-for-6 on the season with three RBIs. Potts was 3-for-4 with two home-runs and five RBIs. Warner improves to 2-0.

OKTAHA 13, OKMULGEE 0 – Oktaha (1-0) got big time production from Caitlin Sikes and Bailey Silva who combined to go 6-for-8 with five RBIs and four extra base hits. Kallee King was 2-for-4 with a double a pair of RBIs.



Boys soccer



CATOOSA 4, FORT GIBSON 3 — The homestanding Tigers (0-3) missed a game-tying penalty kick in the second half and the Indians made them pay for it with a game-sealing goal. Brock Peterson’s goal with six minutes to play made it the final one-run deficit.

James Kolb and Levi Ford had first-half goals for Fort Gibson in a 2-2 standoff at intermission.



Girls soccer

PORTER 2, DRUMWRIGHT 1 – A penalty kick late in the game from Kennedy Mathis put the Lady Pirates up for good. Mathis also scored a goal in the first assisted by Kassa Dee Merrill. Porter (1-0) returns to action against Inola at 6 p.m. Mar. 24.

HILLDALE 3, TAHLEQUAH 1 — Leah Gragg scored two goals and Alexis Gutierrez added another for Hilldale, which overcame a 1-0 deficit.

FORT GIBSON 5, CATOOSA 1 — Jordan Raynor scored twice and Shaye Hatchett, Shelby Nichols and Sanya Januszewski added goals in a 5-1 win for the No. 2 Lady Tigers (1-1) over the sixth-ranked Indians at Fort Gibson.
